HEADLIGHT & TURN SIGNAL GREMLIN

Before someone tells me to use the search function, let me say trying to find the exact electrical gremlin you're experiencing can take way too much searching. Mines a pretty straightforward gremlin so here it is. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

'95 E320 wagon. 150k on the clock. Decent shape. Like everyone else, done alot of work, more work to be done. Here's the problem.

When I turn on my headlights the turn signal lights come on and stay on and don't function. On the cluster the greens arrows that normally blink, light up and stay lit. When the headlights aren't on, the turn signals usually work just fine. Thanks ya'll.

Did this occur on its' own or subsequent to an event?

Probably a bad ground on the headlamp circuit. Check, clean and tighten every ground connection you can find starting at the battery terminal, then the three or four under the same bolt at the RF shock tower, next look for grounds (2) at the headlight area. They will be brown in color.

Good luck!!!

Sounds like bulb failure module is malfunctioning, its in the fuse box area at rear ,its the one that says hella , long module about 20 pins, all the exterior lights incl turn signals go thru it

This occurred on its own.....in fact from day one that I've owned the car (1+ years.) Hasn't bugged me enough to do anything about it, been busy with other parts of the car. Plus I'm a dunce when it comes to electrical probs! Haha. Now it bugs me, so I'm trying to fix it.

Thanks Sugar Bear, I will do as you suggest.

Thanks nulu, your comment jogs my memory that I had a similar problem on another w124 and that was the solution.
