1987 300sdl - I don't want to tear anything up. Removed the original becker last year, replaced with a cheap stereo. The removal tabs wouldn't set "up" into the new stereo, so I couldn't' get the ashtray all the way in. I had to break off the tabs.
replacing the cheap stereo with a nice alpine, but the alpine won't lock into the becker bracket. I want to use the bracket that came with the alpine, but I can't see how the original bracket comes undone.
I could just bend and break, but I really don't want to chance snapping something I need. I don't see any screws or bent tabs on the bracket holding it in place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
