60 mph = 50 in Reality - '88 260e

I removed the instrument pod from my '88 260e to replaced the light bulbs.

After putting everything back together... I noticed the speedo doesn't rest on the black post at 0 mpg... it sets on the first dash (5or10 mph).

Also, when traveling 60... I'm really going 50. How can I adjust this? I've turned the metal "needle" inside the speedo and tried to get the "hand" to zero.. but it keeps bouncing back to the first dash.

Is this right? How can I adjust the speedo? I've searched and didn't find any info. And no one mentions this problem when discussing removing the instrument pod.

Thanks!
