2005 w211 e500 windshield washer question
1 Attachment(s)
edit: i think it wasn't working was because the hood was up.....my helper figured it out (see picture):)
so i have two 2005 e500's and i'm putting one together to drive and will either part or sell the other. the washer on the one does not work. the washer on the other one does. after reading that there is no fuse for this (apparently, the washer extracts power from the same circuit as the wiper system), i figured i would swap the pumps. as you may guess the working pump doesn't work when installed in the other car...... can anyone confirm there is no fuse or provide any insight into this issue? as mentioned the washer res on these cars isn't exactly accessible, in the routine sense; however i have the fender off for repair purposes so it isn't as bad thx in advance g |
Google, is your friend, friend. :D

yeah before i ask for help here i:
A) try to solve the problem myself B) have a snack, and repeat step "A" a few dozen times C) use the interwebs (i.e. "google that s#%t") D) watch a few youtube videos (some even related to the issue) E) come here and search the forum F) post up my question there is not much info on this problem other than "replace the pump", which i did Quote:

i edited my original post.....i r and r'd the pump and it worked again once the hood was closed......i thought that was that but then i swapped out the hood and now it isn't working. the inner fender liner must be removed to access the pump with the fender on the car.....from what i read the pump is usually the problem and there isn't a separate fuse

i had the fender off to replace it and i saw the location of the reservoir and pump at that time. with the fender off it isn't hard to see how it comes apart
