MY SHOP THAT I PAID ALMOST $3000 TO FIX MAJOR LEAKS AND OTHER SMALL THINGS FAILED TO FIX THE LEAKS. THEY ARE EVEN WORSE. MUCH, MUCH WORSE. THE SAME SHOP HAD DONE EXTRA WORK AND CHARGED ME WITHOUT GETTING AN O.K FROM ME. WHEN I REFUSED TO PAY FOR EXTRA THINGS THAT I DID NOT NEED OR WANT THE SHOP SAID THAT HE WOULD TAKE PARTS OFF MY CAR TO MAKE UP FOR THE MONEY THAT I DIDN'T PAY (HE WAS VERY MAD) NOW THAT THE LEAKS ARE DESTROYING MY DRIVEWAY I NEED THEM TO GET FIXED. I WENT BACK TO THE SHOP AND THE MANEGER SAID THAT THEY WOULD NOT WORK ON THE CAR. THE NEXT TIME I WENT AND THE OWNER OF THE SHOP WAS THERE HE KEPT SAYING TO LEAVE THE CAR BUT I CAN NOT TRUST HIM WITH MY BENZ AT ALL. FOR A FACT, HE WILL TAKE PARTS FROM MY CAR THAT ARE NOT RELATED TO THE LEAKING PROBLEM AND CHANGE THEM WITH GARBAGE LIKE HE DID WITH MY BATTERY AND ALTERNATER AND THEN HE WILL SAY THAT HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER SHOP AND THEY PUT IT ON A LIFT AND I SAW THAT EVERYTHING THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED WASN'T. THE SAME SHOP TOLD ME THAT MORE THAN A DOZEN PEOPLE HAD WENT TO THAT RIP OFF SHOP AND HAD GOTTEN ALOT OF $ STOLEN. I WANT TO TAKE THIS GUY TO COURT AND GET MY MONEY BACK.
DO I FIX IT AND GO TO COURT WITH THE PAPER WORK AND GET MY MONEY BACK OR WILL HE JUST CLOSE DOWN AND OPEN UP AS ANOTHER NAME.
DO I GO TO COURT BEFORE I FIX IT ???
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME BECAUSE I OWN ONE OF THE BEST MERCEDES IN THE WORLD AND I CAN'T EVEN START IT (HE PUT A BAD ALTERNATER AND BATTERY IN MY 420 SEL) WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

With all the lawyers in this country I don't we need to go into this subject. This is a forum on how to make repairs & getting the most from our beloved M. Benz!!!!

Call your local Better Business Bureau, give them the details so they can warn other customers. Maybe you should even post the name of the shop on this forum so other members in your area can avoid it.

Sounds like the shop should be called "Snake Pit".....contact a good lawyer. This is more in his domain than ours. Best of luck though!

We will have to take the neutral stance on this subject. I am a tech and would hate to see this happen to me or my shop. You decide how to handle this. I will get the name of the shop edited out because this forum WILL remain positive in nature!!!!

I have the utmost respect for you guys and your site. I've checked out several MB talk groups and it seems like no matter what the subject it always gets down the name calling and foul language. Thank you for keeping it on the level that it should be!!!

Hi All,
This reminds me of why I only service cars for people that I share a mutual "trust" with.If your car is a piece of junk and everyone that works on it is a crook...the next crook is just up the road, not here! The loyal customers I have appreciate what I do. When a customer takes a Mercedes to a non-Mercedes shop they get what they get. Nobody held gun to your head and made you take a car somewhere it shouldn't be.
You "can" know everything about one type of car, but you "can't" know one thing about every car.
