Correct assembly order for a flywheel

Hello.
I have an 87 190e 16V that has been sitting in my garage for past 8+ years waiting for attention. (The only upside to the pandemic is that it has provided me some free time) It's an auto that was leaking (no big surprise due to its lack of use). About 16 years ago a purchased the parts to convert the car to a manual and have finally begun the process.
My question concerns the flywheel. When the auto trans was removed there was a shim between the flex plate and the crank and a shim between the flex plate and the bolts securing the flex plate to the crank. When installing the flywheel do I retain the shims in their respected positions?

Thanks.

Tinker

No, they are used only with the flex plates.
