I have a 1985 Mercedes 300SD. The engine will not shut-off. I am determined to perform the repair myself. I replaced the vaccum shut-off servo located behind the injector which was an experience. Is there an ajustment for the vaccum shutoff servo which I replaced? The auto will not shut down with the key switch, nor the manual engine shut-off. The brakes perform fine, and the locking mechanism works well.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or information that anyone would graciously provide me.
Thank you for any courtesy that is afforded.
Best Regards

I will recommend you to check the vacuum supply to shut off valve (there is no adjustment for the valve) Have you switch the
old gasket to new shut off valve or replace
with new gasket ? Use the vacuum tester to check vacuum at brake booster line (normal you should gat at less 16 in hg vac ) if not
check you vacuum pump or leak in the system..
I think leaks in the air condition system.
The power door lock on your vehicle is operat
by a electrical pump (in your trunk right next to spare tire)
Warning if you install the vacuum shut off valve incorrect will cause WOT it will over rev the engien....... in few minutes you can
say bye bye to it.

BIG WARNING!!! I have seen a tech install the shut off diaphram incorrectly and blow an engine. If you have already installed it and you did not transfer the spacer it can cause problems... If the diaphram has been faulty long, it has sucked engine oil into the vac system and it needs to have the hoses behind the cluster replaced and all lines flushed.

I agree with the moderator, all lines should be flushed. :)
