M104 upper timing cover

Can the upper timing cover be removed without taking the chain guide pin out? The little hex bolt is stripped and can’t access the pin |
Yes it can be removed but no way can you install the upper cover with the pin in place

I managed to get it off and on without taking the guide pin out. Pain in the ass tho.

Anyone have the torque settings for the 6 bolts by any chance?

that may be my least favorite things about auto repair.....a two hour job that ends up taking 4 days because of some POS stuck faster or some other "little" obstacle that just won't go away!
