W124 charcoal canister removal.

Hi guys.

Charcoal canister on my w124 is rotten, can i remove it and get rid of it all together? Uk roads and the location leads for heavy salt and debris hence the rust and rot.

Are there any downsides to removing it? And were do the tank vac lines need to run iv heard of people running a 1 way vac line for the tank line to stop debris and tucking it out the way.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I think it's quite easy to replace. They were available a while ago when mine was replaced.

Sorry, but I can make no comment about removing it.
