722.6 transmission not shifting
 

I bought a used 722.6 transmission that came off of an 01 SLK230 and installed it on my 9o CLK430. It goes to reverse and drive but would not get out of gear, even though I would manually shift it from 2nd to 3rd or 4th gear. I did not take the TCU from the wrecked 01 SLK230 because it was no longer in the wrecked car. Do I need to reflash or reprogram the TCU or just do some adaptive shifting? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

The trans from any 230 car would be the weaker variant and have different ratios from any 430 car and the TCU wont have it. Best to install the correct trans.
