Sparkplugs for 500E
Time to change plugs. I did a search in this forum and the consensus seems to be to stick with the Bosch Super Plug. My manual calls for "F9 DCO". I tried to find those, but everybody so far refers me to either the "2" or the "+4" plugs. Even the Bosch USA web site does not list the Super. Do I go to the 2 electrode Bosch plugs or the single electrode variety made by a different manufacturer (Champion, NGK, etc.)?
Any leads out there for the Bosch Super plugs and if not , which of the alternatives are recommended?? Thanks for your responses!! Wolfgang |
THE F9DCO ARE NOW THE F8DC4'S.

As you probably realize, this is one of those 'controversial' subjects on this board.
I have had excellent results with Bosch +4s on a wide variety of vehicles. As a bonus, they do not need to be gapped, nor do they lose their gap over time. They also seem to stay cleaner than standard plugs, even on known 'oil burners'. |
WRM,
Thanks for the update. Still can't find anybody that sells the Super plugs... Any leads? csnow, Would you prefer them over Super plugs? |
call phil at the fastlane/partsshop on this site. I am sure he can help you source them.

WRM,
I am located in Yorba Linda, CA. I checked the usual suspects: PepBoys, Autozone, etc. I appreciate everybody's replies! Wolfgang |
