1995 Mercedes E420 Starter wiring harness

The oil pressure gauge on my 1995 E420 flickers wildly and the oil level light stays on. My mechanic says I need to replace the starter/alternator wiring harness (connects to the starter, alternator, and oil pressure, and oil level sensors) because the insulation has degraded. I have been trying to find the harness for months with no luck. Does anyone know where I can find this harness?
I saw a posting by someone who was replacing the same harness on a 1994 E420 but he did not say specifically where he obtained the replacement harness.

These days, a new lower harness is NLA. However, the existing one is simple to rebuild. You should be able to find the appropriate gauge wire at about any parts store.

Good luck

He doesn't need to replace the wires themselves because they are good and that would be too much work.

All he has to do is take it apart and put some heat shrink over the old wires and he's done

A few years ago, I built a wiring harness for a 400E. I took out the old one and laid it on a large roofing wood panel to study all connections, layouts and lengths. I used another panel and replicated the harness. It worked until eventually some mice or rats ate through it while the car was in my barn during hibernation.
