Is the compressor clutch engaged when this happens? The pulley will always spin but is the very front/the clutch spinning? Ca

I’ll check things out in the morning. Thinking maybe a leak but not enough to cut the clutch. But it was cold working perfectly then bam hot |
Maybe this will help:

It pointed toward the duovalve as the problem with some having success by cleaning the valve.

So I swapped out the valve with a j/y part. Things seem to function better but ac is still not cold. I’ll take the car in to get serviced. I need the ac working it’s too hot outside

I thought one of the vacuum pods has failed when this happens?

Have you tried to measure the pressure on low and high pressure ports? You can also try to block hot water flow by clamping the hose going into the car. Touch the expansion pipe under the hood, is it cold? It is not difficult to diagnose AC.
It is not unusual for AC to fail suddenly. I have a compressor failed on me all of a sudden when the metal valve inside the compressor broke and jammed the unit. Luckily the kilma relay will kill the AC when it senses the shaft is not turning. Your problem doesn't seem to be the compressor. Good luck. |
If your belt is loose slipping it turns off ac
