anti theft alarm

I took my 1996 C36 in for sparkplugs and oil change and when the car was returned the alarm light was on at the central locking system. I cannot get this light to turn off. I have tried using the trunk, disconnecting the battery and checking the alarm fuse. The systems all seem to work except the light will not blink when armed just stays lit. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hristo Tomov: Thank you for your suggestion! It worked! I triggered the alarm and let it run for 45 seconds and the problem is solved. I sincerely appreciate your help and thank you again for solving a very frustrating problem.
