I should be able to get all 4 windows to go up or down using a key dance in the lock. Sometimes it works. I don't know if I'm experiencing operator error or if I have an intermittent problem. Can someone tell me exactly how the operator is supposed to do the key dance?

The all - close express function (as I recall) is triggered by cycling the lock cylinder to lock twice and holding it in lock position the second time.

This was carried over to later cars with the electronic key too but instead of inserting the key, you point to the IR eye on the door handle while holding the lock button on the second press on the remote.

On the W124 there is an convenience module that makes this happen.

I can get them to close using the key dance, but never to open. I'd say the problem is with the car.
