I have a very noisy diff in this model and I wish to replace it. i believe that this is not a std 190e diff but a heavier unit perhaps from a w124? As these are more readily available, can some one pls clarify which model will fit and hopefully which model is the closest ratio.

The 16v rear uses a limited slip diff. rare & $$$. The 1987-88 190e 2.3 uses approx. the ratio & will bolt in as long as the car(that it comes out of) came with ABS!!
Sell me your old rear end if you decide to replace it.
The axle flanges will have to be swapped from the old rear!
