2.3-16 Serpentine belt tensioner

Can the rubber (spring for lack of a better word) be replaced separately in the serpentine belt tensioner for the 2.3-16 or do they sell it as a unit. Mine has died and I need to repair/replace it, I was not able to access the parts catalog at fastlane at this time. Does anybody know how much the parts are ?

No, you have to replace the bush/arm/roller complete. It's about £150 from MB here in England but you may be able to get it cheaper from a parts importer.

Don't waste time at the breakers yard because even if you do find one chances are it'll be on the brink of failure again.

Thanks Mick J, I agree with you on used parts it is false economy to put a used part on a car. Unless of coarse it is parts that don’t deteriorate and cost an arm and leg.
