1997 C230 fuel filter replacement.
 

The dealer wants $125 to replace the fuel filter, which I think is outrageous. The part is only 20 bucks and I don't expect that is that difficult. If anyone can share the "how to" I'd appreciate.

It is self explanitory. You just take off the black cover and you will see the filter. You may need new clamps, so order them with the filter from FASTLANE!

I recommend the Haynes manual 3511 for 1993 to 2000 C180,C200, C220, C230 & C250.

Not made for the C280, but worthwhile even for that model also.

You need to open fuel filler to release pressure, and disconnect battery negative terminal, hose clamps are nice, and a bucket to catch spilled fuel.
