Which is correct starter??
 

1989 560 SEL, need to replace starter. Selected same in FastLane, and the request returned a Bosch rebuilt for $119. something made me call Phil to verify, and he came up with 3 different possible part numbers, ranging in price from the one the catalog listed to about twice as much. I ordered the one the catalog returned, and it arrived safely and quickly as usual.

Now the curious part...got under the car tonight, and the old starter motor is longer by about 1", and the diameter is approx 3.5" while the new one is 4". It does appear that there is enough physical space to put the replacement in. Came in and checked the CD and Alldata, and both specify Bosch DW12V1.5kw starter motors. The catalog replacement is labeled GF12V1.4ps. The par tnumber on the old one in the car is 000-111-01-03 and the replacement is 000-131-30-07. Without removing the old one this looks like it will fit physically, but is it correct? Too late to call Phil tonight and it sounds like there are a few possible fitments for replacements. Anybody have any ideas before I put this one in?
