replacement for hood bonet star ?

Hello, I am looking to replace the hood bonnet star emblem on an older Mercedes (1987 260e), I am wondering if I can order a low cost one from Ebay? Is there any issue with it not fitting ?

Here is the picture (first pic) of the one that came off my 260e, it is broken because the pin holding the spring came off, and I am having difficulty pulling the spring out to put the pin back. So I am hoping to order the one on pictured in the ebay auction (picture 2).

Would it fit ?

Thanks in advance for your opinion.

Not a hassle at all. Unless you consider one second to pull it out and another second to plug it back in a hassle. We use to install these all the time back in the 90s when stealing the hood stars was a thing. Just a female base with a male end on the star that was a pressure fit.

I mean, as opposed to not having to do it at all.
