1988 190e - Anyone replaced a Cruise Control Actuator? (NOT the Amplifier)
If so, can anyone please tell me the easiest way to access the actuator? It is located in an awkward spot - right underneath the fuel distributor and throttle body. Is it necessary to remove these to access it? OR...is there an easier way?

I guess no one has replaced an actuator before! ;)

What's wrong with your cruise actuator? Is your car jerking occasionally when you are on cruise, whilst going downhill? I had the problem previously and I sent it for an independent MB Tech to take a look, and suspect the cruise actuator's fault. He susgested to change, but I did not. I cleaned all the throttle linkage, and relube with ATF. The jerking is gone, and my cruise is working as good as it can be. Lim ;) |
Hi Lim,
It does nothing - no movement. I want to test the actuator motor to see if the current draw of the armature is between 120 mAdc and 180 mAdc. I need to access the actuator plug but don't know how to get at it. Can anybody help? |
