Does anyone know what the minimum thickness of the front and rear pads should be in order for it to pass PA State inspection ? I read the post about the E-class brake job. My wear indicator light is not on, but I'm sure that when I get it inspected in about 30days they will say that I need brakes. I would rather follow the instructions that was posted.

They can't say you need pads if the light is not on yet I wouldn't think. Because Mercedes set forth the guidelines for the thickness of the pads by installing the sensors. It give aprox 3-5mm of pad before they hit metal. The only ones they should flag would be non sensor type.(non ASR rears)
