Replacing exterior rear door handle on a 2020 cla 250
 

The rear left, rear exterior door handle on my 2020 CLA 250 when I tried to open the door, even though it wasn't locked.

So, I watched several videos that showed how to reinstall the handle. However, in those videos, the spring-loaded clip, with the two small silver barrels on the left in the attached photo, was out, which allowed the videographer to slide the corresponding cut-outs on the handle on to those barrels.

In contrast, as shown in that photo, my clip is recessed. So, I tried using a screw driver to pull the clip out and hold it place while I tried to slide the handle on to the clip. However, the screwdriver prevented me from sliding the handle on.

As this happened once before, I took the car back to the dealer, and a tech managed to reattach the handle while I was at work. So I don't know how he did it.

As I don't want to spend a lot of time taking the car back to the dealer, I was wondering whether anyone here can tell me how to reinstall the handle, or whether I should get the dealer to replace the bracket that contains the clip.
