2007 w203 vapor/charcoal canister problem?
 

My c230 sport has p0497 code with gas smell after filling tank. It was hard to fill tank since the pump kept stopping, had to ease on the handle to pump gas. I have had other evap codes as well and gas smell if I fill tank over half full for a few months. I replaced the fuel pump last week due to a crack in the top, I thought that was the problem. It was only part of the problem. My question is, where is the charcoal/vapor canister located? And does anyone have suggestions?
