tire change gear
Greetings Pelicans. Bride's new car is a 2017 E400 wagon. Beautiful shape, and a little sporty but when I wanted to rotate the tires and assess the treads for winter everything stopped. No spare, jack or what the manual calls "tire-change tool kit". Manual also mentions a "TIREFIT" kit which appears to include a compressor and tire sealant.
Owners manual also says if run-flat tires are replaced with non-run-flats, "equip the vehicle with TIREFIT kit". Is this the spot I'm in? Tires are Continental DWS06 19" with no run flat markings Guess I'm happy to be recognizing this before a January road trip. Thanks ahead. Pelican rocks |

We bought a secondhand, matching alloy wheel, with a tyre, and now we're properly equipped. Good hunting. RayH |

My dad used to carry two spares for his Volvo wagon. There was a tire well on both sides of the trunk. Once on a trip to Florida I needed a second spare as I lost one then the other at night on the way to Florida.
