420 sel wood trim
Does any one know if the wood trim is real wood inside of a 420 sel(1987).My trim near the shifter is marked with some minor scratches, and I'm wondering if I can remove it,sand it, and varnish it once again if it is real wood.Any suggestions? Chunky

You can buy a new OEM Zebrano console cover as a replacement part -- check with Phil at Fastlane. If he doesn't carry it, Tom Hanson at Caliber does -- I think the price was about $110 and my independent charged $39 to install it, which you could do yourself if you are handy (remove ashtray and coin holder first), however watch out for breaking the plastic clips that hold the console cover in. Depending on the shape of your other wood, the new Zebrano may look slightly different/shinier.
Taking out your existing cover to get it refinished may well be much more expense and trouble than just getting a replacement part.
