older cars, sorry rubber wiper blades.

I noticed most parts house don't carry just blade refills. I would like to upgrade my 140 wipers to silicone. These old rubber blades are shot in one year, and my car is in a garage.
Wipers too hard to find, as different mounting for high speed capable blades for autobahn rain.

On a British car I upgraded to PIAA silicon wiper inserts, available via Amazon. (PIAA 94060, in my case. If I recall, the blade profile changes with length... make sure to do your homework - obviously the 94060 may not work on your W140.)

yeah I believe all replacement blades are old on shelf. mercedes arms are wide. thats the problem upgrading.

In my area NAPA is the only parts house that has refills. They are for their brand wipers but I found that they fit my old Ford. I don't know about your car.

Blade dilemma

For what it’s worth…. I recently discovered that Napa blade 62855 worked for my 99W 140 on the right hand side. 12 x 4mm j hook is used on trucks buses and RV’s. Not silicone, but at least fresh rubber. 35 bucks

thanks you all, only drive now less than 40 miles a month now. I will go to napa, and see if I can engineer silicones blades, salt in winter here destroys rubber.

yes napa has silcone now, and winter blades.
