Trans Fluid Leak
 

I am leaking Trans Fluid (red). About an 8th of a cup each day for the past two days. It is found pretty far forward, just in front of the front axle, midway btw the wheel and the engine, on the passenger side. I do have the belly pan which can complicate the ID (and hence, here I am asking). Is there someplace obvious I should start looking?

And oh yeah, I know it's Dexron III, but how much is there to add between the lines on the trans dipstick -- if I am just under the bottom line, how much to top off?

Sounds like a leak from one of the hoses going to the oil cooler which is integral with the radiator.

If the level is just below the mark I would start by adding half a pint at a time until it comes to the top mark.

Are you using the correct procedure for checking the level? Engine hot (at least 10 miles), idling in Park for one minute, wipe the stick with a clean lint free cloth (not paper towel) etc?
