how to remove rearview mirror on 126

how do you do it, it cant see where it comes apart. please help!!! this is an 85 300sd

Pull on IT. There is a spring that holds it to a bracket that is bolted to the roof. YANK!!

got it thanks, im amazed again at mecedes engineering, pull that hard on anything built in this country and watch the roof cave in!!
