Emission monitors won't start
 

Hello, so I have this 96 140 body S420 that will not start the running of monitors at all when it goes into closed loop it says closed loop fault but there is no fault evident in verse the 38 pin or the 16 pin any ideas would be appreciated.

I will install diagnostic module (OBD) tomorrow and update.

A faulty coolant tstat [ runs too cold ] will cause monitors not to start
