MB Medic and Benzmac, thanks for all the great advise, I did what you told me to do and found out that the problem was the 3 Pin thermal switch. It seemed to operate properly when I put an ohmmeter across the 2 pins, but it didn't make a good contact, some residual resistance across the contacts. So, I will go ahead and replace it. thanks again for the great advice.
