M102 Cylinder head issue
 

Hi Guys, in the process of changing my head gasket and it appears that the head is actually at fault due to corrosion around the coolant passageways at cylinder 4, trying to source a new/used head and I'm having trouble finding one with my exact matching part number.


My part number is R1020165701 and the only replacement head for the M102 I can find anywhere near where I live is a very similar R1020163501

They look identical on the images compared side by side but I'm wondering if anyone is able to suggest that the replacement has no significant differences and would work as normal?

what year is the car?

Just as a note, the numbers that are cited above, with the prefix R, are casting numbers, rather than part numbers.
Multiple casting numbers can, and frequently do, appear within a given part number.
