92 degrees outside 150 insind 300D

Hello Gents its me.... again, so far Ive gotten many things fixed thanks to you guys (I love this site)only reason I bought a second Benz. I have to questions:
1. On my 83 300DT I have heat coming out all the time.With the air circ turned off I get heat out of the floor vents. I feel like a peice of bacon ready to be flipped while I'm driving. Any clues as to where the problem might be(The AC does not work) will start on compressor replacement in a few weeks.

2.I have seem some pics with Euro head lights, I really like them any ideas where to buy the and details for the install??

That's a weird one. If you have the off button pushed on the control unit, I can only guess that the PO installed a used unit from a different model. The units look the same but control the flaps differently. You may also have a vacuum leak or a stuck flap. That's all that comes to mind.

You have water flow through the heater core!

The heater valve (monovalve) is powered when the key is on. It is held closed when the pushbutton controller grounds the other side. Other than internal problems with the valve, I would look to see if the whole circuit is complete. Verify battery voltage on one side and ground on the other. For test purposes ground the control side or pinch off the water supply with some shielded visegrips (take a piece of old hose and slit it, put around water hose and squeeze on this to protect the water hose).

Put a cork in it.
