The parts you don't know about in your car ...
When I found my car it was an excellent shape, 129K, excellent cosmetic shape that is, it barely ran. Runs great now. But the glove box latch never did work, I've had a jury rigged string and a knob hanging in front to pull the lever sideways.
Yesterday I found an absolutely cherry glove box door, am putting it in now. I discovered this diaphragm thingy behind it: ![]() I'm guessing it's part of climate control.

FWIW, I figured out, after I took it out, that I didn't need to remove the inner glove box liner shell. At the boneyard I had come under the impression that one needed access to the backside to deal with the stops. Not so. Oh well.

You don't need that vacuum pod..... or the silver box above either. :-P
The silver box is the temperature regulator and the black plastic box next to it is the relay box for the HVAC blower. ~Class dismissed!~ |
