Squeaking sound from suspension

I've noticed a sqeaking sound from the front right suspension in my'97 C230 w/41k miles. It squeaks when driving on roads with alot of small dips and irregularities in the pavement, but not neccisarily rough pavement with potholes, etc. From what I can tell it squeaks only when the suspension compresses significantly.
I haven't noticed any decrease in ride quality, responsiveness, etc., only the noise. I'd like to know what could be causing this noise, and if it should be fixed immediatly, or if it can wait. Thanks for any help.

Same problem

C230

Sorry I can't offer any advice, but I've noticed the same problem with my '97 C230 (134 000 Km). However, I would describe the sound as a 'creak'. Mine seems to come and go, is dependent on the outside temperature (the cooler, the more noticeable), and primarily affects the rear suspension. Similarly, I have not noticed any decreases in performance.

I've been meaning to post this problem earlier, but due to the hotter weather up here in the Great White North, I haven't heard it lately and it's slipped my mind. Although that could be related to drinking too much beer at the cottage which may have negatively affected my memory (just reinforcing Canadian preconceptions).

Thanks. If that is the problem, would it be expensive to have fixed?

I had the same "creak" in my '97 C280 - the drag link and ball joints were replaced and it went away. Cost some bucks though.

No, it's no longer under warranty. Thanks for your suggestions.
