cruise inop

I have a 95 e320 with about 80K miles on it. The cruise works only for a few minutes before dropping speed. I'm assuming a vacum leak?

Cruise control on that car is 100% electronic. With MB scanner the control unit can be tested for operation.

You could check the fuses. MB fuses/ notoriously corrode at the terminals (on the fuse or the fusebox connections). I didn't believe it either, and my fuses all looked fine, but ancillaries like wipers started randomly stopping and starting, and this was the problem.

Cleaning the connections is a good way to reduce any future worries.
