ShopForum for VW's
Does anyone know of a site like ShopForum for VW's (my other car). This has been a great resource for the Benz. Thanks.

closest is vwvortex.com. nothing quite like this forum anywhere though...
I agree with VWVortex. I used to go to that site when I first bought my VW Passat. They have different forums based on which model VW you have. Speaking of which, which one do you have?
if you have a passat you may want to check out clubb5.com too.
Yeah, that was the other site I used to go to. I lost interest in that one because the "crowd" was changing rapidly. The subjects were more and more leaning towards "mods" and less about the factory specs. I am more into maintaining than rearranging.

I have a 97 Jetta GT and the family has owned various VWs over the years with a 85 Vanagon and 86 GTI still with us. All of them have been really fun to drive INCLUDING the Vanagon. I'm with you, I'm not really into heavy modifications either.

For non engine related issues, www.tdiclub.com is about as good as it gets.
the first passat owners were real fanatics and pissed off the vwvortex crowd and that's how clubb5 was born. i had a 99 v6 passat and was on both forums. not really a lot of mods you can do on those engines aside from the usual. chipping is very popular since the 1.8T engine turns into a real beast for about $400.
