Upon pre-sale inspection of my 1988 300E - my mechanic and I discovered that the A/C blower motor works intermittantly (sp?).When the blower comes on, it works just fine until I switch off the engine. It's a coin toss to see if it immediately comes on again. When the blower is NOT working and I push the different buttons for fan speed, I can hear the fan clutch engaging and doing something.
Most likely the blower? Garden variety - what do the new blowers go for installed (the windshield is not 'glued'). Thanks again for all of your quick and accurate replies. Stephen Davis 1988 300E 90k miles hoping to have the blower working before it REALLY gets hot around here.. [This message has been edited by CafcoTX (edited 06-05-99).] |

Testing of the power supply to the blower is simple. The connection for the blower is under the hood by the brake booster. With the key on, 2 of the 3 wires should have voltage supplied to them.
