Does anyone have a 124 diff mount remover/installer tool to rent?
I am going to replace my diff mounts and I hear that it is very hard without the tool. I know some members have the tool. I am willing to pay shipping both ways and a fee.
Thanks Subman |
Come on guys I know someone has one.
J.HIDALGO, I know you have one I would just like to know if I can use it for 1 day. If not thats fine, I just dont want to buy 1 and only use it once. Thanks to anyone who can help. Subman |
Subman, This refers to SUBFRAME mounts, but this might help you
http://business.baylor.edu/Richard_Easley/autofaqs/sframe.htm I looked in my AST tool book, and it looks like the installer is a bolt with a cylindrical nut (take a nut and put washers on it, like thick fender washers, then it looks like it has a rubber nut on the end, again use washers. I can fax it to you an you can post it. It is 75 plus shipping. It really looks like a 5 dollar tool. |
I just came back from a trip
I do have the tool. It worked fine when I did mine. However, one of the "washers" was stripped on a different unrelated job. I do not know if you can still use it. I know some people have made their own tool. Let me know...
