E320 W124 1995 Door locks ???? HELP

I would like to disengage the automatic doorlocks when you close the doors with the key in
I simply want my doors to lock when I use my remote or lock them up with the key in the door key hole

If I forget my keys inside when car is running and close the doors, that is it They all lock and I am stuck outside

I believe there is some problem with your central locking system, as the car should not auto-lock as you describe.

ps now that I think about it, I don't believe a 95 E class had a remote system either, so maybe the car has a malfunctioning aftermarket remote keyless entry system? Or can a 95 owner verify that 95's had factory keyless entry? At any rate no manufacturer would be dumb enough to allow the car to lock itself intentionally as you describe.

Maybe one of the guys (Scott or Cleeve) at the Car Audio forum will notice this, or you can email them directly. I would think someone doing installations of these can tell you what's wrong, I am guessing either something is defective or possibly mis-installed and has done this since installation of the system. Alternatively you can find if someone in your area either did this installation, or is currently installing these systems and can figure it out for you. Maybe for some odd reason the system can even be programmed to do this and can be deprogrammed to stop doing it, in which case reading the operating instructions may shed some light.....
good luck

Gilly
