Buzzing Sound 93 E400
 

I did a search but nothing applies to my buzzing sound.

I have a Check Engine Light on, which I think relates to "Open Injector".(Readout is 19 LED flashes)

When I was doing the Check Engine readout check, with the ignition key in the on position, I noticed a buzzing sound, similar to the sound one has when the door is open. The sound seems to come from under or in back of the air cleaner.

In addition the car is hard to start, cranking for a while before starting. It used to start easily before the check engine light came on.

If I remove the air cleaner to look for the noise, can anybody predict the problem, and is it something that might be repaired by someone with some mechanical skills?

This noise is normal. It is the electronic throttle. My 92 does the same thing. If you sit in the drivers seat....and vary the gas pedal when the key is in position 2, you will hear the buzz change. Try it.
