Exclamation Clara runs over hubby in S430

I guess I'm a sick puppy, but I thought this was kinda bizarre. If it weren't a MB, this story wouldn't have been newsworthy! Right? Right!

Yeah your right. If she was driving a 65 Chevy pickup that story would have been buried deep in the local paper under the Piggly Wiggly ad.

What's wrong with Piggly-Wiggly? It about the only chain grocer where you can still buy chicken feet, except maybe Food Lion in South Georgia.

Nothing is wrong with Piggly-Wiggly. I just used them because they are well known. If you buy the chicken feet pickled try them in a martini.

I have to admit, the first time I saw fresh chicken feet in the store I was slightly taken aback. I'd been working in Brunswick, living on Saint Simon's Island (coastal GA) and kept seeing the feet in the meat department at the Food Lion on the island and the PW in town. Fully thinking it might have something to do with Santaria I finally asked about them. Much to my surprise they were a prize comodity for chicken soup base.

I'll eat a lot of things that are pickled, but I don't think I'll be tasting any chicken feet.

Indonesia imports them from the USA (after inspection for compliance with Islamic food requirements). They are called dragon claws, and considered a real treat, I am told.

There was a similar attempt here

in Williamsburg, VA, about 20 years ago -- a woman from a family of Italian immigrants who had become wealthy in the restaurant business was driving through a shopping center in her M-B S-class when she spotted her husband emerging from a cafe with a woman rumored to be his mistress; she floored the throttle and tried to run down both of them, but hit a parked car before she reached her intended victims.

This is a classic second degree murder crime of passion case. You can see her attorney already preparing for that defense with the statements he's made.

She'll probably serve 8 to 10 years and probably still have her mothballed S 430 waiting for her when she's released. :p

Story says she jumped a median, doesn't it? Wonder if the wheels were damaged.

As an attorney by trade, I think insanity is a perfect defense in her case. In fact, if I were defending her (which would be difficult based on my personal ethics, as you might sense from the following comments), I'd be sure to attempt to establish it. It is evident on its face that she is completely nuts to have abused such a wonderful automobile in such a thoughtless manner....She probably didn't change it hot or change it often, either, which is perhaps one reason why hubby was cavorting with an employee.

handling

Being a benz I wonder how the car performed while going over the "obstacle"? Not sure if that car has adjustable suspension settings? If it does I'd probably select firm.

PS> Mr. Lawyer, how would the defenses case be impacted if the state could prove she changed suspension settings just prior to and just after the "event"?

I appreciate the offer but if I need some Moon pies or grape Nehi there is always Lodi or Modesto. There you can find necessities of life.
