Question 126 Climate Control Problem

Have a '87 300SDL. The climate control, fan, recirculating switch all dead. Factory radio / tape and antenna also dead. Have checked / replaced all fuses including 30A strip fuse. Unfortunately don't have a diagram. Car is unmolested and has been in the family since new. Have just about had it. Searched the archives - no help. Any ideas of what to check? If anyone have the diagram, please email to mpuman@mailcity.com

Sounds like yet another sticky ignition. Try jiggling the key see if everything comes back to life.

Unhappy

Does not seem to be an ignition switch problem.
The battery was disconnected, could be part of the problem, has the Becker radio, but no lines across the display that would indicate a security issue (it does light up with the headlamps on).

I guess it's time to take the console apart and take a look at the controls. Something I don't want to do. Oh well ...
