transmission problems 300sl

I just had my transmission serviced. Fluid level is fine. No bad odor to fluid. Sometimes it screeches when it shifts gears. Sometimes it doesnt. A master technician ( thank you!!)suggested changing the screen and/or fluid but I just did a month ago. Any other possibilities or should I service the transmission again???

Does it shift ok? If so, make sure the insulation on the tunnel is not laying on the flex disc.

The filter(aftermarket) can be plugged even when new. DID you have the same noise BEFORE you had the trans serviced a month ago?? Have seen several transmissions fail due to this.

Also IF the trans cooler(radiator) allows coolant(antifreeze) into the transmission you will get unusual noises & the trans will quit after a while.
