stall on deceleration

Much as I love the handling properties of my '88 300e, i like to exit the freeway onto the ramp without braking and taking the turns at high speed while decelerating. During one particularly "g-forcy" exit, traffic had backed up on the exit ramp and i had to brake; when i did so the engine quit, but quickly restarted.

as i was coasting in at high speed on a hard turn and then suddenly braking, does this effect the ability of the engine to get fuel? I was low on gas and wondering of such a maneuver could tempraliy starve the engine of gas.

If not, then maybe im into the usual classic mb stalling mystery.
