front brakes '86 300SDl

Changes brake pads all four wheels, opened nothing during installation. Tried brakes after instalation and pedal goes to floor. Bled right rear fluid comes out, left rear same thing, right front, no air, no fluid, no nothing, left front same thing nothing at all no air, no fluid. Brakes worked perfectly until pad change. Any idea what's goin on here?

You need to get yourself a power bleeder from Performance products online. It costs about $49.95. I learned my lesson not to mess with conventional method of bleeding the brake on an ABS car. This gaget is great because it provides constant pressure so there's no air suck back to the system.

it was a defective master cylinder, i replaced it and it's all fixed!

Sometimes on the old cars the master will have trash deep in bores. When you change pads and depress the pedal to the floor the trash will cut the seal on the piston. :-(

Some of the old water cooled VW's with ATE master would roll the seals over when pressing the calipers back, I got into the habit a long time ago of slipping a peice of silcone vacum line on the bleeder and then opening the bleeder and pushing the caliper back, and not depressing the pedal to the floor bringing the caliper pistons back out tot he new pads.

This would win my "Best Post of the Year" ... clearly, should not push pedal all the way down ... I also did not know WHY the master cylinder would fail ... this makes perfect sense.
