I need some advice. the people changing my oil broke my vaccum connector that leads to the cut off switch. comsequeeently the can won't shut off. I went to the locaal mb dealer and tried to buy the valve connector.
they said mb only sold the complete assembly which is a black hose with metal fittings on each end and vaccum connectors in the middle. Is there anything special to replacing the hose? thought I'd ask now rather than later. |

THe hose call Brake booster vacuum line, connect from engine vacuum pump to brake booster. And sold as one pice only. Theres no special tool to replace hose,Use 19 mm & 17 mm open wrench will do the job. ------------------ MB STARS Master Guild Technician,12 years MB tech 5 years independent shop owner |

The same thing happened to me while working on my 240-D. Super Glue worked great until a friend trying to adjust the steering box broke it again. I Super Glued it again and it worked great until I broke it again when priming the injection pump... Ended up buying the complete assembly!

Do not do a quick fix on this!! I have seen them break in motion and cause the power assist to fail on the brakes!!
