Angry Drive Belt, O2 Sensor

Hey Folks,

Anyone have a tip for replacing the Drive Belt on an '88 300E?
I also just changed my O2 Sensor and the Check Engine Light still won't reset. Help...

make sure when relieving tension on the belt That you loosen the lock nut before you loosen the adjuster bolt or you will strip the tensioner! good luck

Many things other than a bad O2 sensor will trip the check engine light. Search the archives for how to read the code behind the check engine light.

Check the archives as well for step-by-step instructions on replacing the serpentine belt and what to check while you have it out. If your belt was loose, the tensioner is probably worn beyond serviceability.
