hood release
 

my hood release cable broke on my 190E. I want to know of any ways to open the hood now that the cable has broken. Evasive or not I need to open the hood! Please Help!!

You don't seem to be getting a lot of response here, so I will try.

Not familiar with your specific car, but my 1979 240D hood can be opened by using a very long screwdriver. You have to insert it through the grill against the release lever to which the release cable is attached. It can be seen through the grill. Push the lever to one side (as if the cable were pulling it) and the hood latch will release.

may be you can see the cable. If you do, just pull it with a pair of plyers.:confused:
