meek,

That is another member who had a piston erupt after driving with too lean a mixture for too long. He is rebuilding and looking to add either a supercharger or a turbocharger, I can't remember which.

My son is presently 17 and the stock car is plenty of automobile for him at this stage. He just put some new 17" Evo II wheels on it with 215/40-ZR17 tires on it. He left the shop with them pumped up to about 37 psi per tire, and the car was pretty squirrely, changing from slight understeer with the old tires to oversteering. I used to run the old 15" tires at about 41 psi in front and 47 psi in the back, so we pumped these up to the same levels and it is much better but still a little peculiar.

More power is not the next priority though, it will be additional restoration of the rocker panels and some of the interior, like the dash which is cracked.

Jim
